Yeah, using neurodiversity as a passive-aggressive and thinly-veiled insult just makes your post kind of reprehensible, ceding whatever sort of high-ground you thought you had with your reusable bag mastery. [shrug]

This is a great example of the kind of thing I was referring to.
A post acknowledging that neurodivergent people can interpret things differently, apologizing, and that it’s good to remember we take some things for granted is “passive aggressive and insulting” and back to back posts where I say I’ve figured out the reusable bag thing by keeping them in my truck and carry stuff in my hands when I forget is an attempt at achieving the “high ground” with bag “mastery.” I find those interpretations pretty surprising.
Genuinely sorry you took the post that way and think it’s reprehensible, that’s definitely not how I want to land and I’m sorry for offending you. Is there an edit that would fix it?
I truly just don’t think about reusable bags much and know and love a lot of neurodivergent people and have really come to appreciate how they think, and this was a good reminder that you can’t just assume something thinks the same way you do.
Funny how a conversation about bags can go, isn’t it?
