Watched this a few nights ago and holy ####, I now know what is without question the worst way to die (or survive). The people speaking about the injuries they suffered as a volcano erupted literally beside them...god damn. They purposely didn't show the victims in the footage immediately after it happened and for good reason, as even years and surgeries later you can see the scarring on their bodies and it's heart wrenching. Absolutely wild watch.
Did a re-watch of Dear Zachary last night. Also obviously heart wrenching, but didn't hit me the same way it did my first watch years ago. Probably because I knew the twist that was coming, but mostly due that the film style was hard to follow. So many scene chops, inserted voice samples and rapid clips that jump all over the place. Honestly, it felt like watching an hour and a half long tik tok video where the narrator was one giant long sentence, my brain could barely keep up. That style was ahead of it's time when the doc first came out, but now days it's annoying to me. Still a crazy story and worth watching.
