I am presently navigating my way through a full bottle of a full-bodied yet still somewhat irreverant Australian red wine. I have also just finished watching Pleasantville for the umpteenth time while consuming the aforementioned libation. <Biff fills glass for 4th time.....sips deeply>. At the risk of sounding like a pretentious git, I have to say it doesn't get much better than this at my age (very nearly 40). Pleasantly buzzed, and full of the images of 50's vestal virginal goodness. Spiderman's girlfriend in Pleasantville (yes...I still know it was actually Toby Mcguire's girlfriend, or, to be completely precise, bud's girlfriend) was (is) intensely hot. Drinking a lot of beer is fine. Drinking a lot of hard liquor is also fine. There is something, however, to be said for drinking a lot of wine. It seems to make you considerably more intellectual, cerebral, and contemplative. OH....and why is it still so damn hot?
