If I remember MacKinnon had some generational talent troubles.
Then I looked it up on hockeydb, I just wanted to keep my sentiment that a young generational talent coming on to a team on a rebuild and becoming a peak player looks different but much like Bedard, possibly. Please look up both their stats.
Good drafting is about luck to, you can get the pick but it's not for the team, the moment, etc. For example no high generational pick can stay in Buffalo.
