Reschny wasn't as highly regarded in the first half of the 2024-25 season, as he was in the second half- where he put up 51 points in the final 30 games. In the 2025 WHL playoffs (he scored 25 points in just 11 games), he was second only to Gavin McKenna in ppg (and Reschny had less talent around him), and his 2.27 ppg were 6th-best all-time for a player under the age of 18 in the WHL. He skyrocketed up the draft charts in the second half.
Since the turn of the century, only Bedard (2.86) and McKenna (2.38) have put up a better ppg in a single playoff season than Reschny's 2.27 ppg. If Reschny gets his skating up to par, there's no telling what his ceiling is- Langkow is a fair comparison, but Reschny could be even better. The sky is the limit for this kid.
