The 9 games is the threshold for if the contract counts this year. Again, that only matters if they were to send him to junior. But I think everyone agrees the AHL is the right spot.

Doesn't his ELC slide a year if he plays below 10 games? That's my understanding, anyway, regardless of CHL or AHL.
