If the weather is ####, try to keep a healthy fuel reserve. You may not get in an accident or stuck, but if someone else does or an avalanche closes the highway you could be idling to stay warm for many many hours. Most of the time these drives are uneventful, but it's the few that are that remind how sucky winter can be.
