But I can’t see Connor wanting to get traded. If his whole mission is to win a cup why would he gut the team he is going to due to the wild bidding war that would be him being on the market. Walking as a UFA ensures his destination team is stacked, stocked, and ready to go for years to come. The acquisition cost would empty the cupboards of most teams and really put the pressure on to win as asap as possible.
