Yeah, the punchy stuff is no deterrent anymore because of the power of special teams.
When Cooley got smoked, nothing. When Zary got smoked, there was almost a thing but we needed the PP to get back in the game and could not risk an instigator. Lombo looked awkward, like a dude realizing maybe the game has passed him by, 'what do I do?' Score a goal. Retribution has to come on the scoreboard first, no matter how good it would make us feel to see the opposition beat up in a scrap.
A fast physical line that posses a threat to score is way scarier than punchy punchy. I mean, Lombo is a specimen but he is no Big Ern.
(also I think Lombo vs Kane is not the sure thing a lot of people seemed to think t would be)
