Fully agree, but I do feel that is slowly shifting as the density of the city increases and younger people don't covet car ownership as much as previous generations. But ultimately this city has been built around the automobile, so hopping in the car is normal and expected to do most things.
But let's be honest - we're lucky to have a stable, deep-pocketed owner with a damn good facility. It makes up for the location being inconvenient to some. Something central and more accessible would help them tap into other demographics, but the stadium and gameday experience would suffer.
It is kind of like the old triangle thing: location, stadium, game day experience. Pick two. If you have all three, like Halifax, you're golden. I'd argue that "location" is the most important thing, and is still a limitation to Spruce Meadows even in a car-centric city. But they really nail the other two to make up for it.
