Sharky is another project that CC took on.
Yegor seems like a good kid, good attitude. But he only thrives in a very limited parameter set. He is an offensive specialist, and when his game is not there he doesn't do enough of the other defense/checking things well. He tries, but isn't very good at doing those other things.
If he was a complete player, producing a steady offensive output he would be valuable here and desired around the league, just like Farabee would be. It's a bummer that we extended him in retrospect, so far.
Sometimes a project doesn't work out. Sometimes the other experts (GMs and scouts at the other team) know what they are doing when they look for ways to dump a player.
We had room, development time, for projects like this so I don't fault CC. And maybe the project isn't done yet, but that is mostly on Yegor.
