I am not arguing for the sake of arguing. I am arguing because you don't know how many years make two.

Without the new contract, McDavid would now be one year from free agency and eligible to leave the Oilers in 2026.

With the new contract, McDavid is now three years from free agency and eligible to leave the Oilers in 2028. He will be one year from free agency in 2027, which is two years from now, not one.

Why don't you understand that two equals two and not one?
