Yeah, for sure. I agree with a lot of that. The reason for a lot of the problems (Drastically increased incidents of Tommy John surgery etc) is the relentless strive for more velocity. That’s why you see high school/college kids literally getting preemptive TJ surgeries.

Very few kids are pitchers these days who are actual “pitchers” (like Greg Maddux, Chris Bassit types etc), Nowadays they just want to smoke it across the plate. That’s a cultural thing within baseball that has happened over the decades. It’s unfortunate. I miss an artist like Mark Buehrle. That guy could PITCH
