Not sure I liked this one as much as last year. It seemed like there was more discussion of players and decisions and the stakes of the games were established in season one (which I really liked). This was more like a fluff piece without any actual insights into the coaches and management. Even the contract signings were done without any interviews or content. Like where were the camp battles? Nothing on Kerins getting sent down? Those were the best parts and they have been replaced with interviews with Weegar’s wife and a montage of Backlund’s home life?
Big step down in my opinion and pretty disappointing. Hopefully next episode has more interesting content. It feels almost like players didn’t want uncomfortable moments exposed… but that is the main appeal.
