Mavi diary - day 34 part 2.

Dear diary.

I just had it out with Mr Katz, emperor Nerostan, and my current and former agents.

I told them that this was a mistake. Everyone is sorry. They all agree that I’m the bestest ever. All of the media says it’s true. All of the smartest minds on the hockey planet say the same thing. Even those at the other end of the spectrum, the Oilers fans, say the same thing so I’m covered.

I asked them why I would sign such a stupid contract. They had blank looks at each other.

I said that if I wanted to get such a stupid deal, and have the Oilers basically handcuffed for my contract as they dump draft picks and go all out on player development, why would I sign now?

Wouldn’t I have signed such a stupid deal on July 1 to give Emperor the entire summer to sign people and UFAs instead of today? It’s crazy.

I should have known better that any savings would be blown on D and not even a goalie.

They told me that the media was already doing puff pieces on me and that I’d get a banner for this “least paid best player”.

I’m going to coast diary. No more back checking. No more putting my body on the line in scrums and fighting. And especially no more shot blocking on the penalty kill.
