If you make the playoffs, maybe you’re not a favourite, but you’re in. Enough low seeds are competitive enough not to sewer the prospect of immediate multi million dollar revenue for some long term future looking lottery tickets
The Flames had enough points to make the playoffs, lost on a tie break. And more than some east playoff teams. Not a seller.
