But he's getting those numbers getting all the premium ice time. When your best players getting all that premium ice time get 60 or less points, you are at best a bubble team.

Ehlers just signed for 8.5 million and he is a 60 point guy. That was playing on the top PP unit on a much better powerplay and getting top minutes. There is probably no world where Huberdeau goes for as low as 6.5 million.
Boeser got 7.25 million and he is traditionally a 50-55 point guy.
8.5 million seems about right for Huberdeau.
