I understand the sentiment of being pragmatic but to that end that's a part of the issue with the Flames IMO. Gridin is riding a heater in terms of play right now, I don't believe they should douse that for the sake of baking a prospect on the farm. They need goals, he's provided goals in every game he's played I think.
Let the kid cook with gas, it's lit right now. If he falters then you send him to the farm to get some confidence back, but he doesn't require it right now.
