And in an ideal world, Hoffman would be off the playoff roster (he's not trustworthy or reliable enough), but the latter will never happen.

Better not be Fluharty. He’s shown he’s up for huge moments

I think Lauer, Fluharty and Little (gulp) are enough lefties, I wouldn't include Bruihl.
Gausman
Bieber
Yesavage
Bassit
Scherzer
Lauer
Hoffman
Dominguez
Varland
Rodriguez
Fluharty
Little
Fisher
Nance
Is 14 pitchers which is 1 too many. I'd leave off Scherzer and his 5+ ERA and propensity to give up big HRs. He's a bad fit vs the Yankees. I get that pisses him off, but the next choice imo is Hoffman and he is under contract next year, so it's more important he's happy than Max going forward.
But probably it's Nance (he's got the best ERA of all 14 of them so naturally that's who you leave out).
I'd also go with an opener every game. Rotate Varland and Dominguez. Then bring in Gausman/Bieber/Yesavage/Lauer. I would tell the press that's the plan but not specify the order. Let the yankees guess and pitch Lauer a game where they have their lefties in. They're not going to want to pinch hit in the 2nd/3rd
