If Bourque and/or Bischel become positive contributors to the Stars then the Stars are going to have to move them soon anyway. They have no room to give these guys raises with their current cap structure and there is no room for Bischel to advance beyond the third pair. He is going to want out sooner or later to show he is a "top 4" or "top pair" guy.

Then again, the Stars also have no way to add Andersson without sending cap space back, even if there is retention on Andersson.

Probably also worth mentioning, Bischel is still on his ELC which has $500K in performance bonuses that could further muck up the Stars tight cap situation. I am not sure exactly how it works but if he hits his performance bonus doesn't that go against their cap next year?
