I had a visit with my doctor this morning to go over some tests I had done. He also knows i'm an avid golfer and quizzed me on the number of rounds I'd played. The question went further when he suggested it would interesting to know just how many kilometers I walked on the course, given that I don't ride a power cart.
So I took the yardage of my course (6195) and converted it into kilometers. Turns out it was 5.6 per round which doesn't include the walking between holes and the distance to and from the vehicle to the proshop. Before I did the calculations I deducted from my total the 6 rounds I played in Minnesota where I used a power cart. That course was not walkable. The final number was 347 kilometers which surprised me.
I'm 67 years old and want to stave off the health effects of growing old as long as possible.
