Makes sense that the US networks don’t really care, because Canadian TV ratings don’t mean anything for the US networks (advertisers). And obviously the games are all subbed on Snet anyways, no US network is a standalone (maybe TBS but they don’t have ball anymore) so there is no splitting or ratings.

I don't think the US networks would care about Sportsnet doing it's own broadcast - even if they did show up in Canada they'd have to sim-sub the commercials like the super bowl so there's no economic reason for them to care.
I think the biggest thing is probably Rogers has to pay the cast/crew/travel/production costs when they could just use the US network feed for way less.
Basically its a weird situation here where Sportsnet is both the Jays local broadcaster in their local region of Canada, and also the MLB national broadcaster for the country of Canada.
