I hope they find him. Goes without saying that I hope he's alive, but finding him period is going to give some closure. My family was from Coleman before my Dad moved to Calgary, and there's lots of things that could go wrong in the woods in that area.
My great grandfather actually went missing in the Crowsnest and was never found. He decided to go out and pick some berries one day and never returned. Speculation was that there are lots of old mine ventilation shafts in the woods that he could have fallen down (hopefully better marked in the years since, not sure if that's still a possibility). Possibly an animal could have gotten him too but you'd usually find some trace.
Before my Dad passed I remember he got a few random calls from government/RCMP over the years, rare of course but every now and again some remains would be found and they'd ask about identifying factors. I believe they had dental records to compare against but they never determined any remains found were his. Just completely vanished.
Anyways, thought I'd share that story as I always found it interesting and somewhat relevant here. Again, hope they find the little guy safe and sound and no foul play was involved.
