I'm afraid that the "research" they are conducting would likely have little scientific value since it is not being conducted in a controlled environment under controlled conditions by trained researchers.
Believe it or not, but PHAC, CFIA and soon VIDO, have specially designed facilities
(CSCHAH) to conduct research like this under stringently controlled conditions. This ensures that data are gathered using scientifically sound and reproducible methodologies and that the conclusions are publishable in legitimate academic journals.
