Wow, surprised that he ended up signing after all the news/rumours came out after he rejected the initial $16 million per year offer. But he's one of the best forwards in the game and Minny desperately needed to keep him.
And so much for Oilers fans thinking they would get McDavid for a "hometown discount". His next deal is absolutely going to be at least $18 million per and probably more in the $19-20 million range.
Not that he's signing there anyways...
