Seems like a massive overpay. Would love to be proven wrong if it means Minny can get Edmonton outta there, but right now I just don't get it. But I guess for the first half it should at least not be a boat anchor. After that though, rising cap or not, I don't see how it's not awful by the end.

Best part is what on earth is McD going to get now. How high can he go with how fast the cap is rising?
I'd argue Draisaitl is underpaid. If he were to sign an extension right now, I think he makes at least $17M if not more. Credit to the Oilers. They got him to take a discount.
