I don't think Pospisil returns something worthwhile enough to justify trading him. Plus, he just extended, so I would be very surprised if he moves this year - maybe next, but I would be surprised if he moves this year. This is how I see Pospisil's worth for the Flames:
- Can play up and down the lineup, and all 3 forward positions
- Adds both speed and physicality to the Flames
- Helps with the hard-working culture (both in games AND in practice)
I personally think he has the ability to score more, and I generally like his decision making with the puck - underrated playmaker.
I don't see him returning much, but I do see him improving as he ages. He works hard in the off-season, plus things like working with Handzus to improve his F/O skills - he strikes me as a player who will work very hard to succeed, and I think guys like this are valuable to an organization filled with young players (as the Flames are looking like they will be).
