Watched at the Ship, atmosphere was great. Shame about the result but the hype the team got was well deserved and hopefully it can translate to more funding (and more interest/participation) and build off of it.
Spent too long not playing their game, when they were things were looking promising. Was also really tough watching the scrums get destroyed. As a front rower there's no better feeling than dominating a scrum, even better than scoring, but having it go the other way also feels the worst. Big influence on the game. Botterman being sent off set up the perfect scrum opportunities inside the 22 by forcing a wing off the field, but when you can't trust the scrum it just handcuffs you.
The timing isn't going to work out to make it to the Men's World Cup in Australia in 2027, but might make a go at the 2029 Women's down there if it lines up right.
