So at 23 you're staring at a 10-year opportunity...at best.
However, that is not to say that all is lost! I've said it a million times, if I were a marginal NHL or AHL player I'd be taking deals and schlepping through European Leagues.

Making 100,000s of yankee dollar to play a sport? Most of these guys are not really scholastic, and sports are way easier than trades. So yeah, nothing is really over for him at 23. He’s got an awesome life full of fun, team mates and travel ahead of him.
