Yeah I read the manual, it actually has all that in there. I set it to hottest water, lowest water hardness (I have a water softener and the test strip result was 100% green) and changed the grind one lower. It definitely takes time to get the coffee right, I made seven cups yesterday before changing any settings (I threw out a bunch) and the difference between the first and seventh was stark. Already though the one thing I noticed even with the first cup is that the coffee is SMOOTH.
