Problem is the new CBA and using Barkovs cap space.
If they choose to, that’s fine but Barkov would be ineligible to rejoin come playoffs at any point if I understand it correctly.
Which honestly maybe doesn’t matter cause it sounds like he’s out the year anyway.
They’d be more in the market for a center though, something we don’t have the luxury of trading. Couple that with the fact they’re pretty bare at picks and prospects, I’m not sure there’s much to gain in a trade.
