I'd consider the Cubs as a possible "better than everyone in the AL" team as well. The NL is definitely stronger this year, which is why the Jays are still first in the AL with their current record (which in most years would be solidly wild card).
Hopefully the Jays make it out of the AL and the NL has beat up the eventual winner.
