I would think someone who knows and presumably understands what so many of his friends and family members are going or have gone through and does so much volunteering wouldn’t offer a “no thanks” to carving out even a few hours to spend a little bit of his incredibly vast volunteering time for organizations that might be important to them.
What’s your relationship to the trans person (or people) you know? How do they feel about the exclusionary language you use and the rape jokes targeting them?
The comments you were “calling out” were crass, but labelling them “homophobia” when you’re the one who put the anti-gay slant on them hardly makes sense to me. If you speak with your many friends and family members, I’m sure they’d be happy to educate you on how to tell the difference, much of which comes down to intent. I mean, there’s a whole thread dedicated to the topic where someone recently shared a bunch of transphobic nonsense. If you care, maybe check it out and be the ally you’re saying you are.
And answer Wormius’ question. Or don’t. But certainly an ally who cares about these issues can respond to a perfectly reasonable question better than “get some help.”

I don’t have time to address everything here right now. I speak to family and friends regularly. We don’t have any problems with language or anything.
As for Wormius post, you already answered that exact question in a different thread. I agree with your answer.
