Whether people are okay with the death of Charlie Kirk largely depends on where they see Kirk sits on the the Hitler to puppy scale:
Hitler/Stalin/etc.- almost all rational people in the world think their death was a positive and worth celebrating. They actively hurt and killed millions.

Osama Bin Laden- the vast majority of rational people think his killing was a good thing

Saddam Hussein- a generally bad guy (even though he had a family) that many saw as deserving the death penalty he received.

David Duke- head of the neo-Nazi movement in America for quite some time that has advocated for violence against jews, blacks, other minorities and LQBTQ. Not sure if he ever actually directly committed or ordered any violent acts but he certainly encouraged others to perform violent acts.

Rush Limbaugh- decades long radio host that fomented hatred against most non-white, non-hetero, non-male groups. Also a profiteer who made a fortune through divisive rhetoric.

Those who are not to torn up about Kirk's death usually see him somewhere in the Limbaugh vicinity. Those who think this is some sort of tragedy see Kirk in the internet rando or below area (which he clearly was not). The Limbaugh Line is where it gets a lot harder to answer the question "does this person deserve to die". Some of the people here include The Fonz that are advocating for some sort of appreciation or dare I say empathy for Kirk aren't against the death of really bad people. So, for those of you who are taking the moral high-road, please spare us. You are fine with certain people getting their comeuppance, you just don't agree where Kirk falls on the Hitler to Puppy scale.
