I can understand people hating what he stood for and to some degree even them being relieved that his ability to spread his message has been taken away. But pretending that this is any sort of a “win” is absurd. In my view this will only lead to further division, hatred and an escalation in political violence.
That having been said, all of the parties who have actively participated in and contributed to stoking the fire of the current state of political division in the world whether it be politicians, celebrities or the media all coming out and denouncing what happened is one of the most hypocritical things I’ve seen in my life. In most cases they are doing so while continuing to create further division which is absolutely deplorable. What did all these idiots expect to happen as a result of brainwashing people into thinking that everyone falls on one side or the other in the political spectrum and that the side you’re not on is evil by default?

Totally.
Influential figures constantly painting the other side as evil and nefarious in nature has consequences.
What that leads to is inspire impressionable people under your influence to be "heroes" and do something terrible in the name of what you preach.
Lets not forget that they are people too. Our neighbors, coworkers and fellow countrymen. And they have families and loved ones that suffer when we take our petty differences too far.
