I must be reading the wrong stuff? In the earlier AP article I posted, none of the details really pointed to the shooter being conservative or liberal, but it did say that he didn't like Kirk's views
In the article below, it mentions that he's registered to vote but did not affiliate to any party, so saying he was a Democrat or Republican is false.

This article mentions in more detail that the shooter disparaged Kirk. That doesn't tell us he's a Democrat for sure but to me, it would seem he's against all the gross stuff Kirk preached, which would align more to someone with a middle left view on things than a middle conservative view, no? Am I crazy?!

The details on the bullets seem to indicate that the shooter was against fascists and calling Kirk, Trump and the GOP fascists isn't something RWers do.... Again, Am I crazy?!
