I used to work at Connect and now work at the CBE equivalent to Connect so I would say that article is out of date.
Charter schools with a CBE copycat version are...
Connect = Riverside, RTA, Louis Riel, Maple Ridge
FFCA = Many TLC schools
Calgary girls school = Stanley Jones
Westmount = GAIT schools
Calgary Arts Academy = Willow Park
That's just off the top of my head.
