As if being a goalie isn't hard enough on its own, imagine the pressure in his situation:

hasn't played in 2 full years
has only played 153 games since COVID hit, 5 and a half years ago
would be playing in a Canadian city that has crucified every goalie that dared play there, and where the media blames the goalie for every loss
would be booed mercilessly in every Cdn city and probably many US cities
would be asked every day about the trial, and about fan reaction
would have the added, relentless pressure of being McDavid's savior

And all that would be on the shoulders of a young man who just went through a very public trial, and has struggled with mental health at times (if I am not mistaken)...

What could possibly go wrong?
