Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband didn’t get this kind of respect. Two politicians were recently gunned down and mocked and completely downplayed by sitting senators and elected officials and the rest of MAGA; but the same for Kirk crosses the line?
Same when Paul Pelosi was kidnapped and nearly bludgeoned to death, even Trump mocked that one, and in fact Kirk was the one that said that somebody should pay the attacker’s bail and set him free.
That’s all funny and can be dismissed in an instant. Nothing to care about.
But this? No. This must be dwelled on. Milked for all it’s worth. Used as a pretext for McCarthyism. More authoritarianism. More Fascism. 'The left' can't keep getting away with this!
