He could’ve gotten a normal job if he wanted to avoid scrutiny.

A. No one said you couldn’t complain. Not one person has said that.
B. He’s doing a job for your entertainment, which I suspect you don’t pay anything for, unlike a concertgoer.
C. No one said he wanted to avoid scrutiny. Including him. But he’s allowed to react to it. You think he should say nothing.
D. It’s lip synching.

A. I’m just justifying fan criticism, it’s life for these guys
B. Unlike concert goers, I invest 82+ games plus the off season into it. I then pay for Sportsnet and cable just for hockey, which is part of their revenue, plus my jerseys and my kids jerseys - which need frequent changing. That’s not even mentioning the 2-3 games we may too. But hey, that wouldn’t sound as witty as your comment, right
C. No he can say whatever he wants, I’d just rather he invest his time into playing a better game of hockey so the results can be more favorable for my entertainment - which as fans we pay for. You may think hockey is a service, but it’s paid entertainment.
D. Jee gosh, you actually got me.
