Bob Stauffer is an Edmonton insider only. The team provides him information and tells him what he's allowed to discuss. It's not the same as an insider that has legit connections around the league and breaks stories for all 32 teams.
So he says Kelly's article has no credibility yet he comes out with his own rebuttal which also has no iota of credibility attached to it. The guy is such a putz.

My own conclusion is that if it was something so easy to dismiss why the pissy rebuttal article? The reality is that things are getting a little tight around the collar for Oilers fans, media, and Staples.
