Besides, if we follow this logic, wouldn’t subtracting Andersson (presumably for futures) make the Flames worse thereby increasing their own chances of finishing towards bottom of the league/Mckenna?
If it comes down to strengthening Vegas and weakening yourself vs limiting Vegas and keeping yourself modestly competitive, I know which one I’d prioritize.
If the Flames can’t find a way to add an elite/superstar talent, we’re likely looking at a Detroit like rebuild here. At least that is what I would be most concerned about.
