I don't think it's intense speculation at all to look at our roster situation and assume the 19 year old will have a hard time seeing sustained PP opportunities.
That, or we will not be getting good value out of a rasmus trade.

You keep going back to this point, but Parekh is 19. He doesn't need and probably shouldn't get 25 minutes with 4+ minutes of power play time a night. There's room for three quality defenders with offensive instincts on this team (Weegar, Andersson and Parekh).
I don't think this point should be directed at Parekh, as he'll get whatever time he deserves.
It's guys like Poirier and Brzustewicz, or another d-prospect, that will lose out because of keeping Andersson. They've got a number of defenders knocking at the door that would benefit by getting Andersson's minutes. But it's also nice to see if they'll win a job in training camp too against the veterans.
One of the more controversial decisions for the Flames might be what to do with Brzu/Poirier if they outplay Parekh in training camp and preseason? They've likely got to keep Parekh up, as long as he looks solid enough, but then how do they manage those guys with Andersson still in the fold?
