E=NG but I have to think finally YEG gets back London service with this announcement, even if it isn't daily. I can see the number of people we connect from both YVR and YEG onto the Europe flights out of Calgary, and I'd be surprised if YEG doesn't get a flight out of this.

It's currently about a 15 year wait for YYC-based pilots to get senior enough to bid onto the 787, whereas you can get onto a widebody much quicker at Big Red. It's one of the main deciding factors for people to head out east and really hurts Encore too. Sure you're guaranteed to be able flow from Encore to mainline but if you'll be grey before you ever have a chance to fly a widebody, Air Canada looks far better.
