I think 6 x 6 is ok too. But time will tell if 3 by 3.5-4 and what his next deal is or the return in a trade is vs that 6 x 6.
I would take 8 years as the 1st option, then 7. I'm not sure if 6 is better than 3 though. I still think Zary is a good player, but I doubt he plays his way into a huge deal, and we have lots of Zary potential coming.
I still think that the Flames bottom out soon too.
If you have players pass Zary, not sure if you want to pay him $6 plus to play 3rd line.
