If it's helpful - in Hindi, if you add an 'h' at the end of a consonant (here that means 'kh' instead of 'k'), you are voicing the same letter but aspirated (like, with an expulsion of air). Basically, adding an 'h' after 'k' makes it a breathy 'k' and the effect is similar with other consonants. Putting the 'h' in front, however, makes two noises, one for the 'h,' and one for the consonant that follows.

In this case, it's Parekh, because it's just one sound. Maybe that'll help you remember, or maybe that's just a whole lotta useless info!
