It's possible. He was a massive faller in his draft year, being ranked eighth on
McKenzie's list (drawn from scout's opinions) at the beginning of the 2014 season. He was 24th in his
final pre-draft rankings.
Hockeywriters figured he'd go mid first round in their
March write-up, and they had lots of positive things to say about him, as did other outlets. He also had a pretty good draft year in the Swedish leagues.
Teams definitely had other concerns since he fell almost into the third round despite his skills.
