From the moment McDavid was drafted, we all feared the inevitable cup he would win. If he wins that cup after leaving Edmonton, Flames fans have dodged a major bullet. If he doesn't win a cup, he'd be the best player ever not to have won one.
Beyond McDavid, you've got players, who never won a cup, like Dionne, Iginla, Bure, Lindros etc..but McDavid is on another level and even Lindros and Bure were cut short by injuries.
