If Draisaitl and Matthews zero each other out the Leafs have a far more impressive group of forwards and the Blueline probably tilts to Edmonton as the Leafs do not have a Bouchard type and many of their guys are very old with little in the pipeline.
Nylander, Knies, Tavares are better than Hyman, Nuge, and Mangiapane
Goaltending is suspect for both.
