Well if I was at someone's house and saw they had this, I would think they are pretty strange and a little obsessed with the person.
A few years back I was at a house party and the woman hosting it was a divorcee. Hung around the house were various photos of her and her ex but she had taken the time to either scratch his face out with a felt, or just cut it out completely.
If you're going to do that stuff, just put the photos away, otherwise it comes off a darn creepy.
